Mattioli jewels inspired by Arcimboldo
When art inspires jewelry, the “Arcimboldo Primavera” collection is born, a line of exquisite creations designed by Licia Mattioli. Investigation of nature, decorativism and the visionary mind of one of the most representative artist of Italian Renaissance: Arcimboldo. And a tribute to Expo as well, whose macot “Foody” is a mini stylized Arcimboldo.
Inspired by the famous mistery portraits by Arcimboldo, the three first rings of the collection are tributes to Fall, Summer and Winter seasons. Their complex structure is made of rubies, sapphire stones, quartzes, tourmalines, opals and amethysts, which turn into the iconic fruit-faces created by the artist.
Mattioli presented the latest creations of Arcimboldo line at Baselworld 2015: the protagonist is Arcimboldo Primavera the fourth and last ring of the precious seasons quartet. Impossible not to fall in love with it: an authentic triumph of colors with rubies, sapphire stones, quartzes, tourmalines, opals and cabochon-cut amethysts. A splendid composition served on an elegant red gold mounting.
Arcimboldo Primavera has been celebrated by the inauguration of the floral line Arcimboldini, a parure including a pendant, earrings and ring, adorned by exquisite mini flowers and fruit baskets. A homage to the Italian “golden age” created for elegant women who also appreciate Italian art.
