A very unusual Max Mara
While Max Mara Spring/Summer 2016 is a basic collection, it clearly diverges from the typical brand’s production. Maybe is the – regularly repeated – stars and stripes motif on pants and cabanas which, although in tone with this brand for the ultra classic style, seems far away from been conventional, and surely nothing we saw before. Extra long sleeves, irregular plackets, unexpected see-through, unusual color combinations and last – but not least – a fluorescent make-up, seems all contribute to the innovative vibe of this collection.
Although the knots may look overrated in some contexts, this is not the case for the last brand’s runway show, which sported mini sweaters, shoulder bags, and striped platforms. The irregular side and swift cuts, the gold buttons and the bags with seagull motif, all seems to develop into a new Max Mara phenomenology. A breeze of fresh air that keeps up with the most alluring fashion trends for the season.
