HERMÈS: SHAPES AND COLOURS

Password: elegance. And in Hermèsaccessories spring/summer collection, without a doubt, there’s room to satisfy all possible tastes.

The prestigious french maison for this season has borrowed and re-elaborated old creations, taking inspiration from the most prestigious artists to reach an unmistakable style declined in the most refined silks. From the original lithographies depicting a 1821 meeting between a Native Indian delegation and Washington bureaucrats, Kermit Olivier for instance re-interprets an Émile Hermès shot where Natives pose in their traditional garments, but also in western clothes combined with feather hats.
Illustrations by Claude Viallant, a painter that in 1966 developed a much-appreciated new aesthetic model based on colour concoction and their placing in space .Pierre Péron‘s ‘squares’ also are definitely worth a mention, as they combine the illustrator’s evocative imaginary to the embroidery’s delicate finesse.

The new Hermès collection brings together the foulards’ classic format and a graphic flair capable of making each piece precious and unique.
