Vionnet A poem of disaggregating forces
The new Vionnet collection finds its poetry in disaggregating forces, in spoiled elements, in separated aspects. Inspired by the extreme natural environments like volcanoes, glaciers, geysers, the collection transposes the infinite energy and inevitable transformation, both sublime yet dreadful expressions of life, into a powerful beautiful vision.
The Fall/Winter 2015-16 collection pieces are unveiled in a crescendo. An initial note, soft and delicate, gradually increases its intensity, moving and changing until it stabilizes in a deep black: both beginning and end, darkness together with the vital explosion of big ben. Vionnet approach – fluid, feminine, modern and timeless – is the central theme of this exhilarating symphony. Silhouettes are elongated and light, lightly flared from waist to hem. Caps and back necklines delineate the sublime forms of a solemn, wild woman very likely with red hair. Gros-grain fineries, worn under shirts, are a recurrent graphic signal, to restate the purest sensitivity. Small capes and jackets are combined with elongated tunics. The multiple layers in leather give a wavy sinuosity to dresses.
