NEW YORK SPRING OPENING
New York has always been an important market, the birthplace of many prestigious trends in different fields destined to be picked up all around the world. Same rule goes for the food industry, the Big Apple every year hosts an incredibly high number of cutting-edge restaurants, bars and pubs openings. Some are bond to show up on top of NY’s best venues lists – like Momofuku andAlder, high-calibre, trendy restaurants that every day attract fine-dining enthusiasts from all around the world.
Here are three of the most interesting restaurants about to open this spring/summer in New York.
Bâtard.
High expectations and massive curiosity for this new restaurant owned by Drew Nieporent – a veteran in the catering industry. The venue is located in 239 West Broadway and will open its doors to the public this June. In the kitchen, chef Markus Glocker, straight from Gordon Ramsay’s team, will introduce some exquisite european-style dishes.
Barchetta.
Last April a new restaurant was launched at 461W 23rd street, Chelsea, which focuses on italian cuisine and in particular on fish dishes, wisely prepared by chef Dave Pasternack. One tip: don’t miss its incredible fish tartare tasting session!
Gato.
This new restaurant is owned by TV chef Bobby Flay, who for this new venture has decided to develop some quite promising Mediterranean-inspired dishes. You can find Gato at 324 Lafayette St.
